Gaining the Confidence to Smile Again with Veneers, Bonding, & Crowns
For many of us, teeth can be a constant source of embarrassment and frustration. If you have discolored, stained, chipped, or missing teeth, you can feel ashamed or awkward—making you cover up your mouth or not fully engaging in conversation or smiling. And because your smile is so important, it’s equally important to know that there are solutions to help your teeth—and smile—shine once more.
So this month on the blog, here are some great ways to repair your teeth and regain confidence in your smile.
Smile Again with Veneers, Bonding, Crowns, & Dental Implants
Veneers
If you have bad staining or discoloration on your teeth, sometimes whitening just isn’t an option. Veneers are a great way to help brighten your smile in an effective way. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or composite that fit over the front your teeth, and they aren’t stained or broken easily. They create a beautiful smile with minimal effort. Veneers can cost between $250 to $2,500 per tooth depending on the material used.
Bonding
Bonding helps repair chips in a tooth or teeth. Bonding is a method that uses composite resin to fill in chips on your tooth so that your tooth is complete once more. While silver fillings are also an option, bonding blends into the tooth so that it looks much more natural. Bonding usually costs around $300-$600 dollars per tooth.
Crowns
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a broken tooth to hide the flaw and make a full tooth once more. The crown is cemented into place over the broken tooth, fully encasing it and hiding the blemish. Crowns help protect a weak tooth, replace a broken tooth, or cover a heavily stained or deformed tooth. Crowns are made with a variety of materials, and they range from $800 to $1700 a tooth.
Dental Implants
For someone who has teeth that are completely gone or hopelessly rotted, then dental implants are put inside the mouth to replace the original tooth root. Replaceable teeth are then made that screw into the dental implants. (For a fuller look into this topic, see our previous blog post in August). They are an option for teeth that just can’t be saved or utilized any longer, and they cost between $3,000 and $4,500 per tooth.
We hope that this helps you see that are many options for blemishes that can help you find a natural, beautiful smile once more that isn’t marred by missing teeth, stains, or other deformities. Good teeth will give you that confidence boost to smile widely and warmly—which is so vital to connecting with people and performing well. It’s really worth it to invest in a smile that doesn’t embarrass you or make you feel unconfident in any way!
